- Dr. Mike & MRM Staff, After seeing everyone yesterday at the end of summer company picnic, and witnessing again all the miracles running and bouncing around with unbridled joy, it struck Robin and I just how important MRM was and is in our lives... and so many others. We all strive to leave a legacy with our professional life, to matter to others with the work we do everyday; and I cannot think of a more meaningful pursuit than creating or expanding families. The bliss our daughter (Harlow) has brought into our home, and into so homes around the Detroit Metro area, is literally incalculable. She is without doubt our living legacy, which MRM helped us manifest. Thank you! And to see so many beautiful children bringing joy to the world, and creating similar legacies for their parents due to the efforts of your practice, I cannot think of a more noble pursuit. Family is love. And MRM manifests love because you are a family. Again, thank you all for the sincere care you showed the our family, especially when we were going through our most difficult fertility struggles. Know that we praise your names every time we drive past the office or think about where we are now compared to where we were. We love and appreciate all of you... and consider MRM part of our family! Oh, and Mike, Harlow wanted to extend a special thank you for your scientific brilliance and genuine tenderness getting her here. The bouncy house and ice cream rocked too! May everyone at MRM find themselves abundantly blessed in 2018 and beyond. With great appreciation, Harlow, Robin and AlexanderRobin, Alexander and Harlow

They came a little early but fortunately our hospital stay was relatively short. We implanted 1 and got blessed with 2! Quite the surprise at the time but now we can’t imagine life any differently. I’ll try to bring the girls in for a visit in the near future :)Jenna and John

Happy New Year, we hope all is well with you & the MRM staff. We wanted to send our happy news that our little miracle baby arrived & he is absolutely perfect! We welcomed Greyson Matthew, 8lbs 5oz, on January 3. He is healthy, the pregnancy and delivery were uncomplicated (no accreta, hooray!), and we are just so happy he is here. Big sister & brothers adore him, and Matt and I are in heaven with our little caboose. Finally closing the chapter on all things fertility and feeling complete with our family of 6! - Dr. Mersol-Barg (and his amazing staff — Diane and Melody in particular),I’ve been anxiously awaiting the ability to write this letter to y’all and let all y’all know about the birth of our son! After one round of IVF in 2018 and four subsequent transfers later (plus five miscarriages and four years of infertility), Ari David was born via c-section January 29, 2020 at 9:47 am weighing 8 pounds 3 ounces and measuring 20.5” in length.I can’t begin to put into words how grateful we are to what y’all have given us — even if that currently includes sleep deprivation on a level unbeknownst to either of us (and a house more cluttered than previously thought possible.) Ari is the beautiful gift that has culminated from four years of infertility and two solid years of dedicated treatment. Without your guidance and passion we wouldn’t be where we are today, and that is worth more to us than there are words to fully express it.We both would love to bring him in to meet y’all, but I have reservations of doing so as I don’t want to upset any of the couples/women in treatment. I know it can be a good motivator to keep trying for many people and couples, but for others (like me) it hurt a lot to see others success. I guess I was hoping we could bring him in at a time when we run little risk of potentially upsetting anybody that might be there for their appointment? Also, I feel like I recall there being a yearly ice cream social or something like that for people to bring their little ones?Anyways, I just wanted to express my love for each and every one of y’all and what you help people like us accomplish. Ari is truly a gift from every single one of y’all.Always,Ashley, Ross & AriAshley, Ross and Ari
- No one ever starts out their journey thinking they will end up at a fertility clinic. It is already a daunting feeling when you make your first appointment and take that next step. Next you have to decide on the right place you can put your trust and money in, and go with your gut. From the first time my husband and I stepped into MichiganReproductive Medicine, we were met with warm smiles and genuine care. The soft demeanor of the women working the front desk, to all of the different nurses who you will work with over the course of the IVF process. You get to know them and it feels like a family. Not once did we have a negative experience. They were always able to answer all of our questions regarding appointments, billing, even after hours. I give you these next details in hopes for you. We started the process with my age at 37, retrieved 9 eggs, 4 of which were mature, 4/4 fertilized, 3 out of 4 made it to day 5. We decided to transfer 2 at one time. A week later we got the devastating call, from a nurse who explained to us that they did not “attach” and she wished she was calling with better news. What a hard call to get, and what a hard call to have to make. She was so soft spoken and positive and reminded me at the end of the call, “it only takes one”. We took a few months off to get emotionally and physically stronger for our last embryo. Dr. Mersol Barg decided to let this one grow one more day, to day 6. It was a very emotional day, going in, to use our last embryo. They prayed with us, rallied around us and made us laugh during the procedure. A week later the entire office called, making sure my husband was on speaker phone with me and all in unison, just like the website videos, said, “You’re pregnant”. We couldn’t believe it and couldn’t respond because we were both crying so hard. It was such a special way to get the news. Over the next few weeks you are in awe, and the office is genuinely so excited for you. Then you “graduate” to your normal OBGYN and everything changes. You are excited to be graduated but miss the loving, sensitive care that Dr. Mersol-Barg’s office brings. We are now due with our baby, in 7 days and could not be more excited and ready. We thank God every day for our little day 6 miracle. We would recommend Dr. Mersol-Barg and the entire staff at Michigan Reproductive Medicine to anyone that has to go down this path. Sincerely, Angie and Brent Update: Hunter Francis Born 9:29am August 9th 2018Angie, Brent and Hunter
- Hi Dr. Mersol Barg,
We still think about you all the time, and wave when we drive by your office!
Hope all is well with you and your staff!
Just wanted to send along a few cute pics of our twins Lorelei & Abram.
Always so grateful for our amazing experience with you. I talk to people all the time and I can’t express to them enough how very different and personal our connection with you compared to other doctors was.
Thank you for all you do!
Katie & Justin - Words cannot properly express the gratitude to you and your entire staff. After years of trying to start a family and spending lots of time and resources with another physician, we were feeling frustrated, confused and depleted. We were searching for answers online when we came across your website. We were extremely impressed by the knowledge, detailed process, and the passion you expressed for wanting to help people start and grow their family. We were right! From our first appointment with Dr. Mersol-Barg he shared the same sense of urgency and passion for us that we did to start a family. We learned more in one appointment with him than in the years prior. Through various treatments and office visits Dr. Mersol-Barg, every nurse, and the entire staff, made us feel like we were a part of their family. We had highs and lows during our journey. Everyone at MRM celebrated with us, hugged us and gave us hope when we needed it the most. We feel God placed MRM in our lives to bless us with our beautiful baby boy. We are forever grateful for your presence in our lives and walking this journey to create our family with us. We will never forget our experience and are forever grateful. With the most sincere gratitude,Kelly and MattKelly, Matt and baby James
- My husband and I could not be more grateful for our experience with Michigan Reproductive Medicine. We were initially going to another facility and just coming to support groups at MRM, but after speaking with Dr. Mersol-Barg and seeing his empathy and true concern for his patients we decided to come to MRM. At MRM you are not just a number. Dr. Mersol-Barg is very personal and takes extra time with each of his patients. During the most difficult time of our lives we found hope coming to the support groups and gaining so much knowledge and support. We now have our beautiful 2 month old, Evelyn, and will always remember how MRM helped give us the greatest gift of our lives. Chelsey, Andrew, and baby EvelynChelsey, Andrew, and Evelyn
- I am grateful for the wonderful experience that I had at last night's support group. I am blown away that your patients are treated with such respect and shown such empathy. I learned so much and it really changed my perspective on this whole process.MRM Support Group “Wonderful Experience”
- I am eternally grateful to Dr. Mersol-Barg and his staff for helping my family on our pregnancy journey. I have never met a team of more caring and committed people. In over a year that I spent coming in to the office during my journey, I never once felt like I was just a number, being rushed in and out of their doors. Adrienne and Joseph, baby girl Leighton, son Landon
- It was their care, support, and tender tenacity that saw us through the maze of treatments and gave us the precious gift of our sweet girl. Our hearts will always be grateful!B & G, W
- I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your office! It is not only beautiful, but such a warm, welcoming place to come to. Everyone is so kind. Let me phrase that, everyone is so GENUINELY kind! There are no words to describe Dr Mersol-Barg. It was unbelievable when I met him last week. I never thought a man could be so compassionate when it comes to a women's reproductive system (and biological needs!). I was blown away! Great First Visit at Michigan Reproductive Medicine!

- There is no way to express the gratitude I have for the incredible gift you gave us. - One year ago today our precious 6 day old embryo made her transition from the Petri dish into my uterus, and our lives forever. The transfer went as smooth as can be, and from that moment on all Tony & I (and all of our family & friends) could do was pray!Tony, Angel and Annabelle
- Being a mother was a concept I had never questioned. I was waiting and patiently planning for it; getting married, pursuing my master's degree, starting my career, all safe in the knowledge that we would bring a baby into our lives when everything else was relatively settled. When I went off birth control in the spring of 2013 I had no reason to believe I would have any issue getting pregnant. Christina, Michael & Penelope
- Michigan Reproductive Medicine is truly an amazing place to go through such difficult medical issue as infertility. My husband and I had been to previous reproductive endocrinologists and Dr. Mersol-Barg and his team of angels annihilate the competition. This staff is incredibly intelligent, caring, compassionate and empathetic along with Dr. M-B.Karen R.

- Dear Dr. Mersol-Barg and staff, I had to write to thank you for your kindness and graciousness in helping me. It goes without saying that you exceeded all my expectations with the treatments and professional care. - “A few years back there was a popular book, “It Takes a Village (to Raise a Child)”. Well, sometimes it takes a village to conceive a child. We are so thankful and blessed to have found each of you in our village. You are the most compassionate and caring individuals we have encountered and we are very thankful our paths have crossed.P.N.
- “Thank you so much for this precious gift you helped us in making! If it wasn’t for the second opinion we got from you, we would have had IVF and would have been out thousands of dollars. You and your staff are truly performing God’s work and you should be very proud of the work you do.N.H.
