Covid-19 Vaccination
Covid-19 Vaccination 💉
We’re pleased to share with our patients that all Michigan Reproductive Medicine Staff have been vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19. Our staff’s primary concern is delivering quality fertility care in a safe and healthy environment.
Â
Some may ask, what is the recommendation regarding Covid-19 vaccination for pregnant women or those planning to become pregnant?
Update 12/15/21: Here is the clear support for Covid-19 vaccination from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM):Â https://asrm.informz.net/InformzDataService/OnlineVersion/Individual?mailingInstanceId=10317714&subscriberId=1115333321
Â
Both the Center for Disease control and Infection (CDC) and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) support vaccinating pregnant women (the supporting articles are attached). According to the CDC, “If pregnant people are part of a group that is recommended to receive a COVID-19 vaccine (e.g., healthcare personnel), they may choose to be vaccinated. A conversation between the patient and their clinical team may assist with decisions regarding the use of a mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, though a conversation with a healthcare provider is not required prior to vaccination.”
