First Steps to Finding a Cause of Infertility
We understand that by the time you meet with us, you already wanted to be pregnant yesterday. We will work with you as a team assisting you to reach your goal of having a child in as short a time as possible. Your fertility evaluation will include diagnostic and treatment planning includes three steps that can usually be completed within a single-month menstrual cycle.
New Patient Consultation
- A thorough evaluation of your history will include information about your surgical, medical, gynecologic and obstetric history as well as exposures to tobacco, alcohol, environmental toxins, a review of organ systems, family health and any other relevant information. If you have a partner, the partner’s information will be reviewed as well.
- This process will guide our recommended diagnostic plan.
- Our fertility experts will review your previous medical tests and treatments. We will share the reasons for the tests we recommend and how they will help you successfully have a healthy baby.
Infertility Evaluation
It takes an egg, sperm, the fallopian tube and the uterus to have a baby naturally. The fertility evaluation will assess each of these four elements.
Treatment Planning
The third step is to develop a detailed, personalized treatment plan. This plan will account for your medical history, health, and test results. Developing a plan will also include reviewing your goals, finances, timeline and emotions.
