Why consider Minimal Stimulation IVF?
Michigan Reproductive Medicine offers Minimal Stimulation IVF, also known as Mini-IVF, to our patients. High dose injectable gonadotropins are replaced with less powerful oral medications, a low dose of injectable gonadotropins, a combination of the two or perhaps no fertility medication at all referring to Natural Cycle IVF. In some patients this approach to IVF can be effective and have additional benefits, such as minimizing side effects and reducing the costs of medications.
Each patient interested in Minimal Stimulation IVF, also referred to as mini-IVF, micro-IVF, or natural cycle IVF, will have a full consultation and evaluation with one of our physicians to determine if this is the best treatment option.
Though Minimal Stimulation IVF has become increasingly popular in recent years in the United States, some patients seeking this treatment option are not ideal candidates for these protocols. Because of this, an in depth conversation with a physician is imperative, reviewing the pros and cons of each approach to get to your desired outcome.
We are committed to personalizing each patient’s treatment plan because there is no one-size-fits-all approach to reproductive medicine. Our goal is to work with you to find the best possible treatment option that helps you to have the baby of your dreams.
