A Registered Dietician is a health professional who specializes in nutrition counseling and intervention for your specific needs. We can recommend several excellent nutritionists. Nancy Padilla, RDN has offered nutrition consults at our office upon request.
In-Depth Nutritional Counseling Session
The In-Depth Nutritional Counseling Session is a 60 minute session with Nancy Padilla, RDN. Nancy evaluates the patient’s individual lifestyle and treatment needs and will design a realistic and customized meal plan for the patient to follow. Discussions will cover weight loss or gain prior to treatment and nutritional recommendations related to patients’ medical conditions, such as thyroid conditions and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).
Follow-up Nutrition Consultation
The follow-up consultation is a 30 minute session with Nancy Padilla, RDN, to evaluate patient progress and address areas of further interest or concern. Patient must have previously attended an in-depth nutrition consultation.
Nancy received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Wayne State University and completed her post-graduate dietetic internship at Harper Hospital of Detroit. She has been registered as a dietician by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association since 1980.
In addition to belonging to local and national dietetic associations, Nancy is a member of several practice groups of the American Dietetic Association. These practice groups include: Women and Reproductive Nutrition; Nutrition Entrepreneurs; Nutrition Education for the Public; and Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition.
Nancy is currently a Consulting Dietician in private practice working in areas of wellness and weight management, along with women’s health and reproductive nutrition. She conducts nutrition education classes, weight management classes and provides individualized nutrition counseling.
Although Nancy is not an employee of Michigan Reproductive Medicine, she may be available to see patients at our practice.
